Playing cards for the ages
Our premium decks of playing cards feature four dynasties of rulers and warriors that are rooted in the history of South Asia and lands beyond. The Vijayanagara royal family represents the diamond suit, while their fellow South Indian Cholas wield the clubs. To the north, the Rajputs hold the spades, and the Mughals, the hearts. Making a guest appearance as the wildcards are two soldiers, one British, the other Portuguese.
These playing cards are meticulously designed, bringing to life some of the most storied ruling houses to ever fly their banners over the land we now call India. And gracing the reverse designs of our two decks are a couple of the most recognizable animals in the natural world, the tiger and elephant. Surrounded by a garland of tropical vines, they sit at rest, enjoying a calm moment of relaxation.

Made with care, made to last
As part of our commitment to make ever more sustainable products, we have taken four steps to bring you the most environmentally friendly plastic playing cards available today.
First, the cards themselves are made from recycled PVC plastic. Unlike standard plastic playing cards, which are made from virgin PVC, the raw material of these cards is produced from reclaimed waste. A micro-texture applied to the cardstock along with a special manufacturing process ensure that these cards slide smoothly with minimal friction. Each deck of Four Realms playing cards has a premium feel and superb handling characteristics, on par with or even exceeding playing cards made from virgin plastic.
Second, the distinctive card boxes are made with paper that has been treated with an aqueous coating to create a luxurious ultramatte finish. Normal playing card boxes are laminated in plastic, but lamination makes it impossible to recycle such boxes. These boxes remain fully recyclable.
Third, each box is protected on its journey to you in a special shrink-wrap made of bioplastic. Unlike regular plastic shrink-wrap, this material is made from plant matter, not petroleum.
And fourth, your cards are mailed to you in fully recyclable packaging. Conventional shipped parcels use plastic tape or paper tape containing adhesive gum that is not recyclable. Instead, we use recyclable cardboard, padding material, and paper tape made with a starch adhesive. This allows the entire shipping box to be recycled, tape and all.
